Turbosmart StraightGate L Clevis

Turbosmart StraightGate L Clevis

The Turbosmart StraightGate is a butterfly-style external wastegate whose zero-offset butterfly design allows very high flow and nearly linear boost control across the full operating range. The pneumatic version is the boost-based counterpart of the multiple award-winning electronic eSG, using the GenV actuator for single or twin port control.

Because the valve pivots centrally, exhaust drive pressure acts equally on both halves, keeping it balanced, requiring less actuator work at high pressure and giving a tuning window of over 5 times base spring pressure. The straight-through flow path avoids the 90-degree turn a poppet valve forces on exhaust gas.

• Zero-offset butterfly-style valve with straight-through flow
• Self-balancing design; tuning window over 5x base spring pressure
• Stainless steel (630) butterfly and shaft; stainless steel (347) main body
• Heat-treated 431 stainless V-band clamps
• Anodised 6262 T6 aluminium bracket and actuator
• Stainless steel (N60) linkages and control arm
• Turbosmart unique locking collar ring
• Single or twin port boost-based control
