HKS Stopper Type Metal Head Gasket FA20 t=0.7 – Subaru BRZ ZC6 / 86 ZN6

• Uses a stopper instead of a grommet or bead, which can weaken over time, plus more plate layers for a better seal.
• A molded stopper ring around each combustion chamber improves sealing. It is the most expensive of HKS's three metal gasket types.
• The t=0.7 version has a taller stopper than t=0.5 for greater bore seal durability. Compression ratio drops by only about 0.1 with stock pistons.
• The separated-type bore seal stopper is meant to prevent leakage under high gas pressure at high engine output.
• A special coating on the head and cylinder surfaces is said to improve contact pressure when the bolts are tightened.
